Project Summary: On December 15, 2022, Google added another metric to its quality rater guidelines, updating its guidelines from Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness (E.A.T) to E.E.A.T. By adding Experience to its quality evaluation guidelines, Google announced that it would also consider personal experiences regarding content. At this point, Google’s E.E.A.T guidelines were taken into account when creating a content strategy for advanced user experience, better ranking, higher conversion rates, and long-term growth. Additionally, when preparing content tailored to the target audience and user experience, greater emphasis was placed on long-tail keywords. This allowed for the identification of keywords with lower competition but higher search potential among users, thereby increasing the traffic-generating potential of the content. Furthermore, long-tail keywords also addressed voice searches, which are prominent in 2023 content trends, thereby strengthening the content strategy. We managed the writing and editing stages of all content and enriched our content in terms of SEO by making the necessary optimizations in the title, meta description, and internal linking areas. We managed to rank first on Google with trending content that parents were curious about and that answered their questions, such as “sweaty feet in babies” and “how to overcome fear of walking in babies.

Thanks to the content work we carried out on Yoyo Junior’s blog pages in line with 2023 content trends, we achieved a +771% increase in the total click-through rate in the blog section.

Title and Meta Description Optimisation

After the content writing process, during the uploading stages to the website, care was taken to include the relevant keywords we targeted in the title and meta description sections and to write these areas in a way that was appropriate for the user’s search intent. In addition, care was taken to include the 2023 query in content prepared based on the year and season, such as “2023 baby names”.

Internal Linking & Anchor Text Optimization

Another topic of interest in blogs was the internal linking strategy. Thanks to the internal linking structure and anchor text, internal page traffic was increased, authority transfer between pages was achieved, and users were helped to access different topics they were interested in more easily. This enabled users to spend more time on the site. Furthermore, an internal linking strategy was implemented, whereby internal links were added from newly published content to older content, thereby increasing traffic to previously published blogs. This helped to increase organic traffic even when content was not updated.

Yoyo Junior On the blog, from 64B impressions in January 2023 to 652B impressions in June, a +400% growth was achieved. During this six-month period, 12B clicks and 652B impressions were recorded.
